Adult Fellowship

Northridge offers the following on-going activities to assist new members in getting acquainted and to promote fellowship among our membership:

Dinner Groups

Members may sign up for a dinner group each September and again in January. You may choose either a dine-in group that rotates meeting in each other’s homes, or a dine-out group that meets in restaurants. Dinner group assignments encourage new relationships with a variety of age groups.

POP (Parents of Pre-schoolers)

This special group for parents of children from birth through pre-school, is designed to foster friendships among parents, and to help the children get to know one another. Two dinner groups are offered: one with parents only, and one with both parents and children in attendance. In addition, various events are offered during the year. For more information, please contact the church office at (214) 827-5521.

Men's Breakfast Group

Northridge men gather at 7:00 a.m. on the 2nd Friday of each month for breakfast and fellowship at Chubby’s Family Restaurant located at 11331 E. Northwest Highway. Everyone is welcome. For more information, please contact the church office at (214) 827-5521.

First Thursday Lunch Bunch

Although most of the members of this group are retirees, all Northridge members are invited. The group meets  at noon for fun and fellowship on the first Thursday of every month at one of our local restaurants. For more information, please contact the church office at (214) 827-5521.

Faith On Tap

Initially begun as a Northridge church school adult class to study U2 music in the context of faith, this group has expanded to include members from numerous congregations who meet together to consider the spiritual side of music from well-known artists.  It meets the 4th Sunday evening of every month from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Highland’s Café at 9661 Audelia Rd. Everyone is welcome for this lively discussion. Child care is available at Northridge by calling Melanie Towb. Leaders include: Brent Barry, Pastor at North Park Presbyterian Church, Shane Whisler, Tom Byrne and John Kenny. www.faithontap.net.

Northridge Older Adult Happenings (NOAH)

The Mission of this group--for individuals age 55 and older--is to nurture and enrich the lives of Northridge older adults, their friends, and older adults in the community. An individual in the group suggested our name--NOAH.

Planned activities enable attendees to remain socially connected and intellectually stimulated. Monthly program formats promote conversation, fellowship, enrichment (lecture, book reviews, musical performance) exercise, day trips for music, art, or drama encounters, and game participation. Unless opportunities prompt a date change, the group meets monthly in the church the second Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Individuals can come for all activities, or a portion of them.  No dues.

voYAge

The new Young Adult group at Northridge, voYAge, is comprised of a study & discussion meeting on the 4th Wednesday of every month and social outings (lunch together, laser tag, etc.) in between. As a vibrant and vital part of the life of Northridge, the young adult population felt there needed to be an organized way to express both the social ties that builds a community and the spirital contemplation that constructs a faithful people. voYAge invites anyone to join them for there bible study & discussion - especially those young at heart!
