2010 Committees


Administration
Chair - Paul Wood

This committee supervises the business operations of the church, including the treasurer's records, the budget, and insurance.  

Christian Education
Chair - Laurie Bret

The CE committee secures teaching materials, equipment and teachers for preschool, children and youth church school classes, supervises the nursery, oversees Vacation Church School and coordinates adult church school classes.

Fellowship
Chairs - Mary Jo Beverley

The Fellowship Committee plans and prepares activities that encourage members to get to know one another, such as dinners, receptions, picnics, games and special events. A fellowship gathering for families occurs almost every month of the year.

Human Resources
Chair - Jack Munn

 This committee coordinates hiring and supervision, reviews employee salaries and benefits, and monitors policies and procedures to ensure legality and fairness.

Membership
Co-chairs - Easy Ezell & Carol Harris

This committee ministers to members in need, helps recruit new members, assists new members in getting involved in the life of the church,and organizes and distributes the church directory.

Mission
Chair - Marisu Fenton

The Mission Committee manages the mission budget, recruits volunteers for agencies, conducts the annual adult mission trip, supports the youth mission trip and coordinates special offerings for disaster relief or other emergencies.

Property
Co-Chairs - Rob Raymond & Gerry Worrall II

The Property Committee oversees the maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds, secure bids and contracts, supervise building and remodeling projects and approve usage of the building.

Worship
Co-chairs - Betsey Slack  & Helen Stevenson

This committee works with the Pastor and Music Director to plan worship services, schedule special services, secure ushers and lay readers, prepare communion elements and decorate the sanctuary for liturgical seasons and holidays.
