Mission Trips
Adult Mission Trips
Our first adult mission trip was to Haiti in 1984. More recently, we have traveled to Juarez, Mexico and the U.S. Gulf Coast building homes, clinics and schools, teaching sewing as an income-producing project, and conducting Vacation Church School. Adult mission trips are scheduled for early in the fall. For more information, please contact Ken Slack at 214-349-6462.
Youth Mission Trips
Each June, Northridge Youth grades 7-12 go on a weeklong Mission Trip, and every three years the group goes on an international trip. Teens do not have to be Northridge members to go on the trip, but they must complete the participation goals approved by the Session. Previous international trips have been made to Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica. In June of 2010, thirty-nine youth and seven adult chaperons will go to Belize, Central America. The group will be working alongside a local church to serve by completing construction projects and leading activities for the local children.
